Singapore: PUB to build world’s largest facility to help remove CO2 from ocean

SINGAPORE – As part of its efforts to tackle climate change, Singapore will be constructing the world’s largest facility to boost the ocean’s ability to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. Singapore Finance: Non-oil exports grew by 16.8% in January 2024

Non-oil domestic exports (Nodx) rose 16.8 per cent in January 2024, led by a jump in shipments of specialised machinery to make semiconductors, and non-monetary gold, data from Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) on February 16, 2024 showed. The International Energy Agency (IEA) is partnering Singapore to set up a regional office in the South-east Asian nation to help drive Asia’s shift to cleaner energy, the agency and the Singapore Government announced on February 13, 2024. Singapore and China will kick off their mutual 30-day visa-free arrangement on Feb 9, in time for the Chinese New Year holidays.
