What are the application requirements?
To be eligible, you need:
- An income of at least S $ 6,000 per month.
- To hold an employment pass.
These are the family members you can bring in and the types of passes they need:

In addition, those who can apply for a family pass include,
- Spouses and unmarried children under 21 years of age (including legally adopted children) of Entrepass (Entrepreneurship Pass) holders. The requirements for Entrepass holders are as follows: the company employs three local ordinary employees or one PME (Professionals, managers, executives, etc.) employee, with expenses reaching S $ 100,000.
- Spouse of PEP (Personalized Employment Pass) holder / Child under 21
What rights do family pass holders enjoy?
1. During the validity period of the pass, you can stay in Singapore for extended periods of time, as well as enter and leave the country.
2. You can apply for work that requires a letter of consent (LOC) directly without having to apply for a work permit separately. The exception to the DP is the SP work permit, which requires a separate work permit to work.
3. Children with DP can study in Singapore without having to apply for a student pass. The guaranteed order of government school acceptances is as follows: SC> PR > DP> Foreigners.
4. If the DP applies for a work permit such as SP / EP, the original DP must be revoked before applying.
What are the materials required for the application?
1. Copy of the applicant’s passport personal page 2. Application for spouse: a copy of the marriage certificate is required 3. Application for a child: a copy of the child’s birth certificate with the parent’s name required 4. Application for an adopted child: a copy of the relevant adoption documents is required.
If the document is not in English, you must find an agency that provides translation services to translate it into English.
How to apply? Dependents of EP and SP pass holders need to apply online, while dependents of Entrepass, PEP and Employment Pass (sponsorship) holders need to apply by hand.
The family pass requires an application from the main applicant’s employer or a designated employee agent (EA).
How to apply?
To apply, your employer will need to submit a separate application for each family member. The application can be submitted together with the application for an employment permit or it can be submitted separately.
You can log in to the MOM website of the Singapore Ministry of Manpower to submit your application online.
Validity period?
1. Up to two years, need to renew after expiration
2. The validity period is linked to the validity period of the attached EP / SP and other permits
How to renew the family pass DP?
6 months before the expiration of the DP pass, you can apply for renewal of DP. The duration of online DP approval is generally not more than 3 weeks. Note: Be sure to apply for DP renewal before the DP pass expires.
When the DP pass expires in about 3 months, Entrepass and Employment Pass (sponsorship) holders will receive a renewal letter and can apply for renewal of their passes. The approval time is usually less than 8 weeks.
